Rune

This is a system that allows you to add stats to your equipment with runes.

Through crafting, you can create runes that can be equipped on weapons, armor, and accessories. The type of rune you can equip depends on the equipment slot.

Equipping and Extracting

Rune sockets open based on the enhanced level of the equipment, up to a maximum of 3. Runes are equipped in order of the socket, and the enhanced level required to open them varies by the grade of the equipment. When a rune is equipped:

| Cannot be traded on the Auction House or via parcel.

| Cannot be moved to storage, enhanced, dismantled, sold, registered in the codex, or used as crafting material.

| Options remain intact even after death recovery.

| Runes equipped are deleted when acquired as PvP loot.

* Once you extract the rune, you can use the Auction House, parcel trades, and other restricted features again.

Enhancing and Dismantling

You can enhance runes by using other runes of the same type and enhancement stage. Upon successful enhancement, you receive a rune of a higher stage. If it fails, the rune remains, but the materials are consumed. The maximum enhancement level for runes is +7. Since you cannot enhance runes while they are equipped, you must extract them first, enhance, and then re-equip them. When dismantling a rune, you receive rune fragments, and the higher the enhancement level, the more fragments you get.
